In a series of tweets today (Wednesday), Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed satisfaction over the performance of Punjab Anti-Corruption Department.

He also expressed satisfaction over the National Accountability Bureau in the recovery of plundered amount.

Furthermore, he said Punjab anti-corruption department has recovered Rs 220 billion in the last 31 months of present government.

He regretted that the performance of the department remained dismal during the ten years of PML (N) government.

Moreover, the Prime Minister said state land worth 192 billion rupees have so far been recovered.

However, he pointed that only Rs 2.6 billion worth of state land recovered under the PML (N)’s tenure.

Imran Khan said cash recovery in our tenure is Rs 2.35 billion as compared to only Rs 430 million in the PML (N)’s regime.

He pointed out that the same contrast is there in the performance of National Accountability Bureau.

Prime Minister Imran Khan further said the anti-graft body has recovered Rs 484 billion since 2018 to 2020.

However, only Rs 290 billion recovered since 1999 to 2017.

He further aid results are achieved when government does not protect criminals and allows accountability to work without interference.
