She was referring to the lawsuit which Shahbaz Sharif filed in London High Court against Daily Mail.

In her tweets today (Saturday), the special assistant said it has remained he character of Shahbaz Sharif to influence the media.

She, however, said the PMLN leader stands entangled in his own trap.

She said the courts in London will now also see the real face of Shahbaz Sharif.

Dr Awan said it would not have taken him six months to move the court if he was truthful.

Govt-opposition relations

However, PTI government also secures support on some issues of vital national interests.

Following are its examples:  PPP and PMLN supported government on armed forces related legislation.

PMLN extends unconditional support to the government on Army Act, said Rana Sanaullah while talking to the media.

However, he ruled out possibility of deal with the government on Army Act.

He asserted that it remains an unconditional support. How it can be misconstrued as a result of deal, he asked.

Rana Sanaullah  further said that PMLN don’t want to make controversial office of the army chief.

PPP calls for democratic process

Meanwhile, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stressed the need to follow democratic process while making amendments to the Army Act.

He emphasised this while talking to Defence Minister-led ruling PTI delegation who called on him to seek support for the draft bill for amendments in Army Act.

The governmet is seeking consensus after three-year extension to Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa) engendered legal debate.

The PPP chairman said that  they wanted to positively engage with the democratic legislative process.
