Prime Minister meets US President Trump and other leaders at Davos WEF

Prime  Minister meets US President Trump and other leaders at Davos World Economic Forum today.

Imran Khan met Azerbaijan president and Singapore PM on the sidelines of WEF.
During the meeting, US President Donald Trump has again offered to play a role regarding Kashmir issue.

He repeated that offer, while talking to the media before a formal meeting with PM Khan.
The US President told them that we (US) have been closely monitoring the situation in occupied Kashmir.

Trump further said he would discuss the Kashmir issue with Prime Minister Imran Khan.

He said Pakistan and the United States enjoy good relations.
The two countries were never as much close as they are today, he asserted.

Donald Trump said Imran Khan is his friend and he is happy to meet him again.

Meanwhile, Imran Khan said that Pakistan desires peace in the region and will continue playing a role for regional peace and stability.

He said the Afghan issue will be discussed with the US President.


PM Imran meets with PM of Singapore

Prime Minister Imran Khan also met with Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong at Davos, on the sidelines of World Economic Forum.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Advisor on Finance Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, Advisor on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood, and Permanent Representative to UN at Geneva, Ambassador Khalil Hashmi and senior officials were also present.

Bilateral relations and ways and means to strengthen economic ties were discussed during the meeting.

PM meets Azerbaijan leader

Prime Minister Imran Khan also met President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev on the sidelines of World Economic Forum at Davos.

During the meeting, Pakistan and Azerbaijan reiterated mutual support for each other’s national causes and resolved to further deepen bilateral relations in all fields.
The two sides agreed to maintain frequent bilateral exchanges including at the highest level.
The Prime Minister appreciated Azerbaijan’s valuable contributions including as member of the OIC Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir and reiterated Pakistan’s support to Azerbaijan on the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh.

President Aliyev expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s consistent support on Nagorno Karabakh issue.
Imran Khan briefed President Aliyev on the grave and systematic human rights violations in occupied Kashmir as well as the devastating impact of the Indian government’s unilateral and illegal actions of 5th August.

President Aliyev invited Prime Minister Imran Khan to visit Azerbaijan. 
Chairman of Çalik Holding calls on PM Imran Khan

Chairman of Çalik Holding Ahmet Çalik, called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at Davos, on the sidelines of WEF Annual Meeting 2020.

Çalik Holdings is a Turkish company and operates in energy, construction and real estate, textile, mining, finance, telecom and digital sectors. It is the approved lead company for TAP transmission line project.
Advisor to Prime Minister on Finance Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, Advisor on Commerce Abdul Razaq Dawood, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Syed Zulfiqar Abbasi, SAPM Dr. Moeed Yusuf, Ambassador at large on Investments Ali Jehangir Siddiqui were also present.
