Ongoing pro-Palestinian protests at the American universities have spread to the Europe.

Dozens of students protested outside the Sorbonne University in Paris, while the French president, who came to speak at the university, was also demanded for help for the Palestinians.

Meanwhile, students in New York waved the Palestinian flags along with the American flags. Protests also took place at the City University of New York and UT Austin campuses.

Apart from this, protest camps have been established in favour of the oppressed Palestinians at Harvard University and Northwestern University in Illinois.

Police and students clashed over the removal of a protest camp at Emerson College in Boston, in which more than 100 students were arrested. Hasan Syed, a PhD final year student at Preston University, was arrested.

Noelle McAfee, chairperson of the philosophy department of Emory University in Atlanta, was also arrested.

Speaking to a Pakistan-based TV, Sulaiman Lalani said that force was used unnecessarily to stop the students’ protest.

Earlier, Pro-Palestine protests in the US universities had deeply disturbed Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu.

“Whatever is being happened in the US universities is terrible,” the Israeli prime minister said.

He further said that protests at US varsities against Israel’s war in Gaza were horrific. He demanded that these protests should be stopped.

He said that the anti-Semitic crowd was demanding an end of Israel and added the university departments, students and Jewish mobs are being attacked,

These events have brought to mind the events of the German universities in the 1930s, Netanyahu said.
