Two Friends Take 10,000-Mile Black Cab Journey Across World Cup Venues

Two football fans have embarked on an extraordinary 39-day journey covering three countries, 16 stadiums, and nearly 10,000 miles as they attempt to visit every venue being used during this summer’s World Cup all while traveling in a traditional London black cab.
Englishman Ollie Jenks and his Canadian friend Seth Scott are driving the iconic taxi across the tournament’s host locations, with the added challenge of completing their mission before the World Cup final concludes in New Jersey on July 19. Jenks said the idea was partly inspired by a documentary featuring a cross-country journey through the United States in a black cab.
Beyond the adventure, the duo are using the journey to support charity efforts and help fellow football supporters facing the high costs of attending the tournament. Fans from countries including Colombia, Ghana, DR Congo, and Argentina have already received lifts from the pair. Jenks said the goal is to make the World Cup experience more accessible for supporters from around the world.
