Apple Prepares Vision Pro 2 with Major Upgrades in Design & Performance
Apple is preparing for a significant update to its Vision Pro headset, with insiders pointing to major improvements in performance and design.
According to analysts, the upcoming Vision Pro 2 will place strong emphasis on comfort, efficiency, and power—areas where the first-generation model received mixed feedback.
Lighter Build & Increased Power
Industry insiders expect the new device to be slimmer and lighter, potentially due to the incorporation of high-end materials like titanium or magnesium. These adjustments aim to make the Vision Pro 2 more comfortable for prolonged use, addressing a common complaint from users of the original model.
Internally, the headset is rumored to be powered by the next-generation M5 chip, offering improved speed and better energy efficiency. Brighter micro-OLED displays and a battery with longer life are also expected, setting a higher benchmark for spatial computing technology.
New “Space Black” Finish
One of the standout leaks is the introduction of a new “Space Black” color option. This sleek, darker finish enhances the headset’s premium look, similar to the aesthetic of the MacBook Pro.
Beyond style, the darker tone also serves a functional purpose—it’s better at hiding smudges and fingerprints compared to the original lighter version, making it ideal for professional environments.
Expected Launch Window
Though Apple has yet to confirm an official release date, experts anticipate the Vision Pro 2 to launch sometime between late 2025 and spring 2026. The timing is expected to coincide with Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).
