How to watch F1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix?

17 April, 2025 17:32

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – Rising star Oscar Piastri could make history this weekend as the first Australian to lead the Formula 1 World Championship in 15 years if he triumphs at Sunday’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

The 23-year-old McLaren driver arrives in Jeddah as the season’s only repeat winner after victories in Bahrain and Melbourne.

Championship Showdown in the Desert

Piastri enters Round 4 as one of four drivers who could claim the championship lead after this weekend’s race at the high-speed Jeddah Corniche Circuit (April 18-20). The event marks the conclusion of F1’s grueling “triple header” – three consecutive race weekends that test both driver stamina and team strategy.

Standing in his way is reigning champion Max Verstappen, who reasserted his dominance with a pole-to-flag victory at Suzuka. The Dutchman remains on track for a record-extending fifth consecutive title but faces renewed pressure from Piastri’s consistent performances.
