Vincy Aloshious Files Misconduct Complaint Against Shine Tom Chacko

Malayalam actor Vincy Aloshious has officially filed a complaint with the Kerala Film Chamber of Commerce against her Soothravakyam co-star, Shine Tom Chacko. The complaint alleges inappropriate behavior and the use of drugs during filming, raising serious concerns about professionalism and safety on film sets.

While initially refraining from naming the actor, Vincy recently identified Shine Tom Chacko in her formal complaint. Her concerns stem from a series of troubling incidents that reportedly took place on the film set, including Shine’s alleged drug use, which she says disrupted the work environment and made filming difficult for cast and crew alike.

Speaking earlier at the 67th operational year of KCYM Ernakulam-Angamaly Major Archdiocese, Vincy had remarked, “If I am aware that someone is using drugs, I will not act in any film with them.” triggering widespread conversation around substance abuse in the Malayalam film industry.

Vincy later elaborated on Instagram, describing an incident where her co-star offered to fix her dress in front of others, making her uncomfortable. “When I was part of a film, I had an experience with the main actor. He used drugs and behaved in a way that was completely inappropriate, making it very difficult to continue working with him,” she said.

She also recalled witnessing a white substance spill from Shine’s mouth during a rehearsal, which reinforced her suspicion of on-set drug use. “It’s one thing to use drugs privately, but when it affects your colleagues and the work environment, it’s unacceptable,” she stated.

The Rekha actress said these experiences shaped her decision to avoid working with individuals involved in drug use, even if it meant risking future opportunities. Shine Tom Chacko has not yet responded publicly to the allegations.

She also added, “I don’t want to work like that. I don’t want to work with someone who isn’t conscious of the impact their actions have on others. This is a decision based on my personal experience and I stand by it.”
