Harry Moss Dies in Horrific Farm Tragedy While Chasing His Dream

The family of 14-year-old Harry Moss is grieving after the young farm enthusiast was tragically killed in a machinery accident on a farm in Malvern, Worcestershire. The Birmingham teenager, who had dreams of becoming a farmer, died on Thursday morning in what his father believes was an instant and fatal accident.

Moss had been working on the farm since before Christmas, doing what he loved—helping with lambing and collecting firewood. According to his father, Lewis Moss, 39, the teen had been saving up to buy his own tractor. “He was such a lovely lad,” Lewis said. “Polite, hard-working, and he never gave me a moment’s worry.”

Lewis described the moment he was called to the farm. “The lad who owned it just said, ‘You need to get down here. It’s Harry. It’s really bad.’” When he arrived, paramedics were still trying to revive Harry. “They were working on him, but he was gone. The only solace I have is that when I saw him at the morgue, they said the injuries meant it was instant.”

Emergency services responded quickly, with ambulances and air support on the scene. A second man was also injured but is expected to recover.

Harry’s mother, Hollie Mcmurray, shared her heartbreak on Facebook: “My world has fallen apart. My firstborn. Fly high my homing pigeon.”

A GoFundMe campaign launched by a family friend is raising funds for Harry’s funeral. “Harry Moss was the best, and he’ll be given the best send-off,” it reads.

The HSE and West Mercia Police have confirmed that a full investigation into the incident is underway.
