Pamela Munro killed in North London; man arrested

22 April, 2025 14:11

A 45-year-old woman who was stabbed to death in a flat in north London has been identified by police as Pamela Munro.

Police were called to a home on Ayley Croft, Enfield, around 7 pm on Saturday, where they found Pamela with knife wounds. Emergency teams, including the London Air Ambulance, tried to save her, but she sadly died at the scene.

A 29-year-old man was arrested on Monday on suspicion of murder and is still in police custody. Pamela’s family has been informed about her tragic death and is receiving support from specially trained officers.

Detective Chief Inspector Neil John, who is leading the investigation, said his team has been working nonstop over the weekend to understand what happened. He said Pamela’s family is heartbroken, and the police are doing everything they can to support them.

He also appealed to the public for help: “We are asking anyone who was in Ayley Croft between 6:30pm and 7:30pm on Saturday, 19 April, especially drivers with dashcam footage, to come forward.”

Detective Chief Superintendent Caroline Haines, who is in charge of policing in Enfield, said her thoughts are with Pamela’s family and the local residents affected by this terrible news. She praised the efforts of local and specialist officers for their hard work since Saturday.

She added that neighbourhood officers will remain in Ayley Croft over the next few days to support residents and help with the investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to speak with them.
