Rupert Grint Welcomes Second Baby With Georgia Groome

“Harry Potter” actor Rupert Grint and his longtime partner, British actress Georgia Groome, have surprised fans by revealing they’ve welcomed their second child — a baby girl named Goldie G. Grint.

The famously private couple kept the pregnancy completely under wraps and only made the announcement after the baby’s birth. On Monday, the 36-year-old actor took to Instagram to share a heartwarming glimpse of their newborn, whose face is only partially visible in the photo.

“Secret Child Slightly Revealed,” Grint wrote in the caption. “Introducing Goldie G. Grint. A 10/10 baby (so far).”

Grint and Groome, who have been together since 2011, are known for keeping their personal life out of the spotlight. In fact, the public wasn’t even aware of their relationship until 2018 — seven years after it began. One surprised fan even tweeted, “I was today years old when I found out Georgia from ‘Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging’ has been going out with Ron Weasley since 2011?”

Speculation about a secret wedding sparked in 2019 when they were seen wearing matching rings, though a representative for Grint later clarified that they were not married.

The couple became first-time parents in 2020, and Grint waited six months before revealing their daughter’s name, Wednesday G. Grint, in his very first Instagram post. “Hey Instagram… only 10 years late, but here I am. Grint on the Gram!” he wrote. “Here to introduce you all to Wednesday G. Grint. Stay safe, Rupert.”

Since then, the actor has occasionally spoken about fatherhood. In a 2021 interview with Glamour, he said, “It’s so much fun. I feel like I’ve changed as a person for sure… It kind of happened overnight, lifestyle-wise. I stopped smoking straight away. I’ve started sleeping so much better – I used to be a horrific insomniac, now I’m sleeping.”
