Emmerdale has finally addressed the mysterious disappearance and shocking death of Nate Robinson, confirming that he was killed by John Sugden in a dramatic new storyline development.
Jurrell Carter, who portrayed Nate for five years, exited the ITV soap last year with fans believing his character had moved away to Scotland. However, recent episodes have revealed a darker truth—Nate’s body had been hidden in a lake following a fatal incident involving John.
Jurrell had previously shared a heartfelt message with fans upon his departure, writing, “So after 5 years, my time at Emmerdale has come to an end… It’s been a massive chapter of my life and will always hold a special place in my heart.”
He expressed gratitude to the cast, crew, and fans, adding, “Being a part of a show that’s always been a family favourite… making them all so proud, will honestly forever mean everything to me.”
Now, Emmerdale has revealed that Nate’s fate was far more tragic than previously thought. The truth emerged following a limousine crash, after which his body was discovered.
It was revealed that John, in a panic after Nate’s condition worsened, attempted to help him but fatally injected him with too much medication.
John, portrayed by Oliver Farnworth, has since spiraled into more sinister behavior, including framing Ella for stalking and endangering Jacob by triggering his nut allergy just to play the hero.
Farnworth commented on the dark storyline, stating: “What happened with Nate was, to all intents and purposes, an accident. But John hasn’t handled it properly—neither legally nor morally. There’s a lot more fallout to come.”
