British Tourist Dies After Cardiac Arrest at Ibiza Rocks Hotel

A 33-year-old British woman tragically passed away in her room at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel, located in the popular San Antonio resort on the island of Ibiza.

Emergency services were alerted around 6:30pm on Monday evening. Police and paramedics rushed to the adults-only hotel, which sits close to the island’s iconic sunset viewpoint. Upon arrival, the woman was found in cardiac arrest.

Medics performed CPR for approximately 40 minutes in an attempt to revive her. Despite their efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Local authorities, including officers from the Civil Guard, have launched an investigation and are preparing a detailed report for the court. However, initial sources close to the investigation indicated that there are currently no signs of foul play.

According to reports, the deceased suffered from pre-existing health conditions and had an implantable cardioverter defibrillator — a device used to monitor and correct irregular heart rhythms — fitted beneath her collarbone.

This incident follows another tragedy at the same hotel just a day earlier, when a 19-year-old Italian tourist of Turkish descent fell to her death from the fourth floor. She reportedly attempted to climb into her room from a balcony area after forgetting her key card, but slipped and fell. Her body was found early Sunday morning, and investigations into that case are still ongoing.

Authorities continue to look into both incidents as the island’s peak tourist season gets underway.
