Teen Charged with Attempted Murder After Double Stabbing in Kirkby

A 14-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder and wounding with intent following a stabbing incident in Kirkby on Wednesday evening. Emergency services, including armed police, responded to a call at around 8:25pm and found two teenagers injured at the scene.
A 15-year-old boy suffered multiple stab wounds, while a 14-year-old girl sustained a single stab wound to the chest. Both victims remain in hospital but are in stable condition, according to Merseyside Police.
A second suspect, aged 15, has also been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody for questioning.
A high-visibility police presence continues in the area, supported by a Section 60 order which grants officers extended stop-and-search powers to prevent further violence. This order is in effect until 6pm today.
Detective Inspector Graeme Osborne urged the public to come forward with any information:
“Knives have no place on the streets of Merseyside, and we will continue to do all we can to identify and prosecute those who carry or use them.”
