Young Man Ryley Harbord Dies After Falling from Rooftop in Soho During Bank Holiday Weekend

07 May, 2025 19:10

Police have launched an investigation after a 22-year-old man, Ryley Harbord, tragically fell to his death from a rooftop in Soho. The incident happened around 2am on Saturday, May 3, during the busy Bank Holiday weekend.

Ryley fell from the roof of a residential building on Brewer Street, a popular area in London’s nightlife district. Earlier in the evening, he had been seen at a bar in Soho, enjoying the holiday weekend.

The Metropolitan Police are treating Ryley’s death as unexpected. They have released his photo and are asking the public for help to understand what happened in the hours before his fall.

Detectives are especially looking to speak with anyone who saw or spoke to Ryley between 7pm on Friday night and 2am on Saturday morning.

Detective Chief Inspector Anne Linton, who is leading the case, said:
“First and foremost, our thoughts are with Ryley’s family as they deal with this tragic loss. This is an unimaginably difficult time for them.
Soho was very busy that night. It’s likely someone saw or talked to Ryley. If you did, you might have important information that can help us. Please come forward.”

Police hope CCTV footage and eyewitnesses may help clarify the circumstances leading up to the fall.

Anyone who has any information about Ryley’s movements that night is urged to contact the Metropolitan Police immediately.
