Shocking Hotel Video of Diddy Assaulting Cassie Ventura Shown in Court as She Testifies Against Him

14 May, 2025 14:09

Explosive new evidence has emerged in the ongoing federal trial against hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, as unedited hotel surveillance footage showing his brutal attack on ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura was publicly shown in court for the first time.

The disturbing video, played during Tuesday’s court proceedings, captured Combs violently assaulting Cassie at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles in 2016. Jurors watched silently as the footage, without sound, showed Diddy dragging Cassie from an elevator, slamming her onto the floor, kicking her while she was down, and pulling her by her hoodie back to their hotel room — all while wearing only a towel and socks.

Former hotel security guard turned LAPD officer, Israel Florez, was the first witness to take the stand and described what he saw that night, presenting emails and photos from the scene. Florez testified that Combs attempted to bribe him, saying: “You take care of this and I take care of you.” Florez said he declined the money and told Combs to stay in his room until checkout.

Florez also recalled seeing Cassie cowering in the corner of the hotel room with her hoodie pulled up, looking terrified. When he confronted Combs about his behavior, Florez said the music mogul warned: “I don’t want to lose anything, and I can lose it all.”

Cassie Ventura Takes the Stand

On Wednesday, Cassie Ventura, now 38 and eight-and-a-half months pregnant, appeared in court to testify. She wore a form-fitting brown bodysuit that revealed her baby bump as she took the stand, recounting harrowing details of her decade-long relationship with Combs, which began when she was just 19.

Cassie testified that Combs forced her to engage in multi-day sex parties, known as “Freak Offs”, involving male escorts while he watched. She said she complied out of fear, especially after discovering he had secretly recorded the encounters and threatened to release the footage if she refused to continue.

“It got to a point I didn’t feel I had much of a choice,” she told the jury, adding that the encounters felt like a “job” and often lasted up to four days.

She said Combs exercised complete control over her life, physically abused her, and used fear and manipulation — including leaving guns around their homes — to maintain power. At one point, she said, he beat her so badly the whites of her eyes turned red.

“He would bash me on my head, knock me over, drag me, kick me, stomp me in the head if I was down,” she said tearfully.

Prosecutor Emily Anne Johnson asked how often this happened. Cassie replied: “Too frequently.”

Cassie also detailed her confusion and fear during the early years of the relationship.

“I was completely sexually inexperienced,” she said. “He made me feel like we were in a monogamous relationship, but he always said, ‘I’m Puff Daddy — I like women.’”

She wept as she described the humiliation of the “Freak Offs,” saying:

“I felt pretty horrible about myself. I felt disgusted. I couldn’t talk to anybody about it. I just felt it was all I was good for.”

Legal Stakes and Public Reaction

Combs, now 55, faces multiple federal charges, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and prostitution-related offenses. If convicted, he could spend the rest of his life in prison.

Prosecutors allege Combs ran a criminal enterprise built on sexual coercion and threats, using his celebrity status, money, and power to exploit women for decades. His lawyers argue the sex was consensual and that the “Freak Offs” were a part of his private, albeit “kinky,” lifestyle.

The court is also considering whether to release the full videos and photos of the Freak Offs to the public, despite objections from Ventura and her legal team.

Florez said of Cassie: ‘She was in the corner. She had her hoodie on, pretty much covered up, I couldn’t see her face. She was pretty much in a corner’

At one point, Florez claims Diddy saw Ventura coming down the hall and ‘raised his voice’ toward her
Now a Los Angeles Police Department officer, Florez wrote back in 2016 that at one point after diffusing the situation, Combs attempted to offer him a bribe, allegedly saying: ‘You take care of this, I got you, let’s go to my room’
