May 15, 2025 – Australian cyclist Jai Hindley has withdrawn from stage six of the Giro d’Italia after being involved in a large crash. The 2022 Giro champion was racing for Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe when the accident happened.
The crash occurred in wet and slippery conditions, around 72 kilometers before the finish line in Naples. Hindley was thrown off his bike during the pile-up, which affected about 20 riders.
Medical Help on the Road
Hindley, 29, received medical treatment at the roadside. Sadly, he could not get back on his bike and had to pull out of the race.
Other Riders Affected
