Who Is Cassian Andor’s Baby in Andor Finale? Star Wars Fans Finally Get an Answer

Who is Andor’s Son? Everything We Know About the Baby at the End of ‘Andor’
The Andor Season 2 finale on Disney+ brought Star Wars fans full circle — showing Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) preparing for the same mission where we first meet him in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. But the final moments of the show also revealed a big surprise: Cassian has a baby.
Yes, Cassian Andor Has a Child — But He Doesn’t Know
In Episode 12: “Jedha, Kyber, Erso”, we find out that Bix (Adria Arjona), Cassian’s former love interest, left the Rebel base not only to protect the cause — but also because she was pregnant with Cassian’s child. The last shot of the series shows Bix peacefully holding her baby in the grain fields of Mina-Rau.
Showrunner Tony Gilroy confirmed this twist was meant to give fans hope. “I really wanted to have something hopeful at the end of this,” he said in an interview. Cassian never gets to know about the baby, making his sacrifice in Rogue One even more tragic — and meaningful.
Is Cassian Andor’s Baby Poe Dameron? Din Djarin?
Nope — and here’s why:
Poe Dameron was born on Yavin IV, two years after the events of Andor. His parents are Shara Bey and Kes Dameron — both Rebel fighters.
Din Djarin (The Mandalorian) was already a child during the Clone Wars, which means he’s far too old to be Cassian’s baby.
So, no fan theory works here. The baby at the end of Andor is just Cassian and Bix’s child — a new, untouched piece of the Star Wars universe.
What the Baby Really Means
Cassian’s child symbolizes hope and a new generation free from Empire control. It shows that even in dark times, there’s still light — something to fight for.
“It also magnifies Cassian’s tragedy… a child he’ll never meet. But that’s what he gave his life for,” said Gilroy.
