14-Year-Old Boy Stabbed in Broad Daylight on Wood Street, East London

A 14-year-old boy was rushed to hospital after being stabbed multiple times in Walthamstow, East London. The attack happened just before 5:00 PM on Wood Street, a busy area near shops and homes.
What Happened?
Police were called around 4:56 PM after people saw a boy being stabbed in the street. Officers arrived quickly, along with paramedics and the London Air Ambulance. The injured teenager was treated on the scene, then taken to hospital. His condition is not yet known.
Witnesses said the scene was chaotic. One person said, “There were sirens everywhere, and then the air ambulance landed. It was terrifying.”
Arrest Made
Another 14-year-old boy from Waltham Forest was arrested nearby. Police said he is being held on suspicion of affray and carrying a knife. Officers are still looking for at least one other suspect.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that enquiries are ongoing. They are reviewing CCTV footage and asking anyone with information to come forward.
MP Responds
Stella Creasy, the local MP for Walthamstow, shared a statement online. She confirmed the stabbing and urged the public not to spread rumours. “This is a very serious incident,” she said. “Out of respect for the boy’s family, we should wait for facts before commenting.”

Local residents are shocked and upset. Many are asking how something like this could happen in daylight and so close to schools and shops. Youth violence has been a growing concern in East London, with parents calling for more protection and youth programs.
