Police are urgently searching for a suspect after five people were stabbed at a party in Thamesmead, south east London, early Saturday morning.
The violent incident unfolded at Nathan Way, where officers were called at 4:19 AM on Saturday, 17 May, following reports of multiple injuries during an event. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that all five victims were found with stab wounds and have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
A spokesperson for the Met Police said:
“Officers are investigating an incident in Thamesmead this morning, where five people were seriously assaulted… Inquiries are ongoing and a cordon will remain in place throughout the day. No arrests have been made at this stage.”
Emergency Response
The London Ambulance Service said it received the call at 4:17 AM, sending multiple units including ambulance crews, incident response officers, advanced paramedics, and London’s Air Ambulance.
A spokesperson said:
“We treated three patients at the scene before taking them to hospital. Two additional patients are understood to have arrived at hospital by other means.”

Local business owner Nick, a scrap metal worker with a yard on Nathan Way, shared an update on Facebook:
“The yard will be closed today. Overnight there has been multiple stabbings outside and subsequently the police have closed the road in both directions. They advised me the road will be closed for the rest of the day.”
Police have sealed off the area, and investigations are ongoing as they work to identify and apprehend the attacker.
