Dr. Rafiq Gujjar Arrested in Mian Channu for Alleged Misconduct During Medical Examination

MIAN CHANNU – May 23, 2025: A gynecologist practicing at a private clinic in Mian Channu, Punjab, has been arrested following disturbing allegations of inappropriate conduct involving a female patient during a consultation.

The doctor, identified as Dr. Rafeeq Gujjar, allegedly engaged in a highly unprofessional and non-medical act by making physical contact between his tongue and the patient’s tongue during what was supposed to be a routine checkup.

Incident Captured on Camera by Patient’s Husband

The shocking incident came to public attention after Ejaz Ghani, the patient’s husband who was present during the examination, recorded the encounter on his mobile phone. In the viral video, Ghani can be seen confronting Dr. Gujjar and questioning the legitimacy of the bizarre and inappropriate action.

“Doctor, if this test is newly invented, then inform us. If this method is standard practice, then I will call your wife and request the same test,” Ghani says in the video. “Otherwise, admit your wrongdoing or end this matter here and now.”

His remarks reflect the public outrage and disbelief over the incident, with the footage sparking widespread condemnation on social media.

In response to the viral video, local authorities acted swiftly, arresting Dr. Gujjar. A formal FIR has been registered under Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code, which relates to sexual assault.
