James Norton splits from model girlfriend Charlotte Rose Smith

British actor James Norton, 39, is reportedly single again after ending his relationship with model and artist Charlotte Rose Smith, 26. The pair began dating in November 2024 and were spotted together several times over the past few months.

According to sources, James has been seen on the exclusive celebrity dating app Raya, suggesting he is ready to start fresh. His profile reportedly includes new photos of him with a shaved head, which is part of his transformation for his latest film Sunny Dancer. He’s currently filming the project in Scotland alongside The Last of Us star Bella Ramsey.

Norton’s team has not commented on the split, but signs of the breakup have appeared on social media. Charlotte, an artist based in London, has been sharing cryptic videos on TikTok, including one that says, “Broken heart? Still got my art.” Another video shows her walking confidently in a figure-hugging dress with the caption, “How I imagine every ex thinks of me.”

James had only recently moved on from his seven-year relationship with actress Imogen Poots, to whom he was previously engaged. They broke up in late 2023 due to the pressures of their busy acting schedules. Norton had been starring in A Little Life, a challenging West End role that he admitted consumed most of his time and energy. He later revealed, “If the work starts to compromise one’s relationships, it can become unhealthy.”

Despite the recent breakup, James remains close to his family. In a recent podcast interview, he said he’s planning a trip to Kenya with his parents, Hugh and Lavinia, and his sister Jessica. The family is heading to the Masai Mara for a safari. James shared, “I can’t wait to see my little nephews on Safari.”

The actor continues to be a fan favorite and is still rumored to be a top contender for the role of James Bond.
