Saffron Barker Issues Warning After Terrifying Robbery on Route 66

Influencer Saffron Barker has shared a serious warning to fans after she and her boyfriend were robbed during a road trip on Route 66 in the United States.

The 24-year-old YouTuber and Strictly Come Dancing star was traveling from Los Angeles to Las Vegas last week with her boyfriend, model Josh Miln, when the terrifying incident happened.

Robbed at Popular Route 66 Stop

The couple made a quick stop at Peggy Sue’s Diner, a well-known tourist spot on Route 66. But when they returned to their rental car, it had been completely smashed in — and all of their belongings were stolen.

“We walked outside and the car was completely smashed in. Inside was every little thing that I feel like I own,” Saffron said in her latest YouTube video.

The thieves stole:

• Their passports

• Credit cards and cash

• Their luggage and clothes

The only thing the couple had with them was their phones.

Grateful to Be Alive

Saffron admitted she felt “grateful to be alive,” saying the situation could have been much worse.

“We could have been held at gunpoint. These people could have been watching us,” she said.

Her boyfriend Josh added that the robbery seemed common at that location: “There were tourists everywhere, and apparently this happens almost every day. It’s crazy that there are no warning signs.”

Stranded and Stressed

After the robbery, the couple had to drive their damaged car to Las Vegas and wait for emergency passports to return home. They were left without ID, money, or essentials.

“We didn’t even have contact lenses. I can’t even see properly,” Saffron explained. “They didn’t want to let us into our hotel because we had no physical ID.”

Despite the loss of valuable items, Saffron said the biggest stress was being unable to leave the country or access basic needs.
