LOS ANGELES – Jessica Simpson is celebrating a proud mom moment! On Tuesday, June 3, the 44-year-old singer and fashion designer shared a sweet selfie with her daughter Maxwell Drew, who just completed another big step in her academic journey — moving up to the 7th grade.

Jessica posted the photo on Instagram, where both mother and daughter wore their long hair down and smiled for the camera. Alongside the photo, Simpson wrote, “Let the good times roll into the 7th grade my beautiful Maxwell Drew.

Jessica’s Family Life

Jessica shares Maxwell, 13, along with two younger children — Birdie Mae, 6, and Ace Knute, 11 — with her estranged husband Eric Johnson. The former couple was married for ten years before they announced their split on January 13.

Even though the family is going through changes, Jessica is embracing motherhood with strength and joy. She has often spoken about how much she values everyday moments with her kids.

She ended her message with joy, saying, “It is official… I AM THE MOTHER OF A TEENAGER and I LOVE IT.”

Simpson’s Growth as a Mom

Jessica, who has been in the spotlight since childhood, says that motherhood has changed her in the best ways. In a past interview, she said, “Becoming a mom has helped me realize I’m actually proud of myself for a lot of the things I have done in my life. Having my kids has made me feel so much more at peace with myself.”
