Who is Anthony Thomas Reyes? Texas man breaks into Trump’s home to marry granddaughter

PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: A 23-year-old man from Texas, Anthony Thomas Reyes, was arrested late Tuesday night after he jumped the wall at President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.

Reyes told police he entered the private property to “spread the Gospel” and propose marriage to Kai Trump, Donald Trump Jr.’s 18-year-old daughter and the President’s granddaughter.

Security Breach at Mar-a-Lago

The incident happened around midnight, according to the Palm Beach Police Department. Officers quickly detained Reyes inside the compound. He was charged with trespassing and taken to Palm Beach County Jail, where he is being held on $50,000 bail. Reyes has pleaded not guilty.

This was not his first intrusion. Officials confirmed he had previously trespassed on New Year’s Eve 2024 and had been warned by police at that time.

“I Want to Marry Kai and Spread the Gospel”

After his arrest, Reyes reportedly told officers: “I climbed the wall to spread the Gospel and marry Kai.”

At the time, President Trump was in Washington, D.C., and Kai Trump was vacationing in the Bahamas with family and friends.

Who Is Kai Trump?

Kai Trump is the oldest child of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump. She has four younger siblings and is known for her interest in golf and vlogging. She shares a close bond with her grandfather and has built a strong online following.

Though less active on social media since Donald Trump returned to the White House, Kai recently posted a YouTube vlog from her Bahamas trip, showing her golf practice and beach adventures.

The case has raised security concerns at Mar-a-Lago, especially since this was Reyes’ second breach. Social media users have expressed worry over how he was able to access the estate twice, despite prior warnings.
