Jeffrey Epstein Video Release – Dan Bongino Says Video Shows Jeffrey Epstein Died by Suicide

05 June, 2025 13:49

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino has said that new video footage confirms Jeffrey Epstein, the late financier and convicted s*x offender, died by suicide in his New York jail cell in August 2019.

In an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, Bongino stated that the 12-hour security video shows Epstein alone in his jail area. The footage reportedly captures Epstein making a phone call and being checked on by guards at regular intervals.

“There’s no one else in the video. Nobody enters that section except Epstein. It clearly supports suicide,” Bongino told Hannity.

Background of the Case

Epstein was awaiting trial on federal s*x trafficking charges when he was found dead in his Manhattan jail cell. While officials at the time ruled his death a suicide, many conspiracy theories spread, claiming he was murdered to protect powerful individuals connected to him—such as Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and Prince Andrew.

Why It Matters Now

Bongino himself had previously doubted the official story, saying in past interviews and podcasts that something seemed suspicious. However, as Deputy Director, he now says the new video and upcoming evidence show that Epstein was not killed by anyone else.

“I’ve looked into this deeply. There’s nothing in the file that indicates anything but a suicide,” Bongino said.

He added that more documents and files will be released soon by the FBI and Department of Justice (DOJ).

Family Disagrees With Suicide Ruling

Mark Epstein, Jeffrey’s brother, still believes it was not suicide. He has demanded a full investigation, saying the autopsy, body photos, and DOJ report all raise questions. He even claimed not all cell doors were locked the night Epstein died.

“If you look at the real evidence, you can’t honestly say it was a suicide,” Mark Epstein told The Guardian.

Government Transparency Promised

Attorney General Pamela Bondi said in February that the Trump administration is working on releasing more files about Epstein’s criminal network. While some documents have already been made public, the FBI says more will come out soon, including statements from victims.

“We want to do this carefully, respecting the victims, but also understand the public’s right to know,” Bongino said on X (formerly Twitter).

What’s Next?

  • The FBI has not given an exact date for the video’s release.

  • More evidence and case files related to Epstein are expected in the coming weeks.

  • The debate around Epstein’s death is likely to continue, despite the FBI’s latest statements.
