Tall Model Marie Temara Says Men Struggle to Date Her

Marie Temara, a 6ft 3in model who makes a living online thanks to her long legs, says her height often makes dating hard. In one awkward moment, a Tinder date walked out as soon as he saw her in person.

“He Just Shook His Head and Left”

Marie, who has 2.6 million Instagram followers, shared the painful experience that made her avoid dating for years. She explained that she and the man had been talking online for a while and had plans for dinner and a movie.

But when they met, things took a quick turn.

“He looked at me, shook his head, and told me he had a family emergency – then left,” she recalled.

The man was around 5ft 9in, and the instant rejection hurt Marie deeply. “It ended the moment he saw me,” she said.

Bullied for Her Height – Then Made Millions From It

Marie has made a name for herself online, earning big money thanks to her tall frame and long legs. But the rejection brought back painful memories of being bullied in school for her height.

“My height has always been my number one insecurity,” she admitted.

“After that date, I stopped dating for two or three years. I just couldn’t be bothered wasting my time on people who can’t accept me.”

Confidence Rebuilt – And Love for ‘Short Kings’

Despite the painful experience, Marie eventually found her confidence again. She focused on growing her online brand and received supportive messages from fans, especially men who loved her height.

Now, she proudly mentions her height in her dating app bios – and says she’s happy to date shorter men.

“I’ve dated guys who were 5ft 8in, 5ft 9in. I don’t care about height. But some of them still do.”

She joked that sometimes she feels like the man in the relationship, doing “all the reaching and lifting.”

Everyday Struggles of Being a Tall Woman

Dating isn’t the only issue Marie faces. She shared some daily challenges that come with being taller than most people:

• She always sits in the aisle seat on planes because her legs don’t fit.

• She often takes the back seat on water slides because she’s heavier than her date.

• She struggles to find jeans that fit and gets custom-made clothes.

• She gets stared at in public, and people regularly ask for photos.

“Some guys want a picture, others look like they’re sizing me up for a fight,” she said.
“But I’ve learned to own who I am. If someone can’t handle my height, it’s their loss.”
