Who is Kirsty Buchan? Glasgow Teacher Banned After OnlyFans Scandal

A Glasgow teacher Kirsty Buchan has been officially banned from teaching after her explicit content on OnlyFans was found and shared by students at her school.

Kirsty Buchan, 34, taught at Bannerman High School. She also went by the online name “Jessica Jackrabbit x.” Pupils discovered her adult content on the internet in 2022. The images showed her posing in lingerie and were shared among students at the school.

The case came to light after older students (S5 and S6) told Headteacher Seonaidh Black about the account. They even referred to her by her online alias. The content was publicly visible, with no age checks or payments required to access it.

Her OnlyFans bio described her as a “good teacher gone bad… really bad.”

Kirsty, who had once been a student at the same school, did not appear at the hearing. She resigned shortly after the incident. She later claimed that she made £60,000 in just one month on the platform due to financial struggles.

At a disciplinary hearing, the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) ruled that Kirsty Buchan was unfit to teach. They said she failed to protect students by not making her content private or age-restricted. One parent even reported that her son had interacted with the teacher through her OnlyFans page.

GTCS presenter Hannah Oakley told the panel that Buchan broke serious professional boundaries.

Panel member Mr Burton said that Kirsty used her job as a way to market her adult content. This, he said, was completely incompatible with her role as a teacher.

This case is part of a growing issue. Other public workers in the UK, including a healthcare assistant and a government helpline adviser, have been investigated for creating adult content while still working their official jobs.
