Fire Breaks Out Near Cooperative Market in Regal Chowk, Karachi

Karachi – Monday, June 16, 2025: A massive fire broke out in a commercial building near the Cooperative Market in Regal Chowk this afternoon. The fire started on the mezzanine floor of the building, which is used as a storage space for wires and batteries.

The fire spread quickly due to the flammable materials. Thick smoke filled the area, making it hard for people nearby to breathe. Eyewitnesses reported hearing small explosions from inside the building, likely caused by overheated batteries.

Two fire brigade vehicles reached the scene within minutes. Firefighters are still working to bring the fire under control. According to the fire department, the fire is intense, but they are trying their best to stop it from spreading to nearby shops.

The area has been cordoned off for safety. Roads leading to Regal Chowk have been blocked, causing traffic jams. Nearby shopkeepers and residents were evacuated as a precaution.
