Ana Barbara Buhr Buldrini Dies of Heart Attack After Plastic Surgery in Turkey

Brazilian singer and model Ana Barbara Buhr Buldrini died on June 16, 2025, after a plastic surgery operation in Turkey. She was 31 years old.

Ana had traveled to Turkey with her husband, Elgar Miles, to get several surgeries. These included liposuction, breast augmentation, and a nose job. The surgeries were originally planned for June 18 but were moved earlier to June 15.

The day before the surgery, Ana and her husband went out for a night of partying with the doctor who would perform the operation. They even asked if the surgery would be safe after their night out. The doctor said it was fine.

However, things went wrong during or after the surgery. Ana’s husband said the medical team told him she was unconscious and would wake soon. But after waiting for over an hour, he noticed Ana showed no signs of life.

Doctors gave conflicting information, saying her heart was beating slowly, and then that she was dead. Turkish police were called to investigate the hospital. Some doctors were briefly detained but later released.

Ana’s family is upset and accuses the doctors of negligence. Her brother said the doctors rushed and handled the process badly. Her husband plans to take her body to Mozambique and seek justice.

Ana was well-known on Instagram, with over 800,000 followers. She was also a singer and model from Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

Her body is scheduled to be cremated in Maputo on June 21.
