Katy Perry Dances with Robert Irwin During Surprise Visit to Australia Zoo

24 June, 2025 13:48

Pop superstar Katy Perry surprised fans and animals alike with a fun-filled visit to Australia Zoo while touring Queensland as part of her Lifetimes Tour.

Perry shared several photos and clips on Instagram, showing her up close with Australia’s most iconic wildlife. In the photos, she was seen hugging a koala, feeding a kangaroo, and even stroking a rhino. Another image showed her leading a wombat on a leash, smiling and relaxed during her time offstage.

But the real highlight came when Perry bumped into Robert Irwin, son of the late Steve Irwin, and a rising star in his own right.

Katy Perry Tries to Teach Robert Irwin a Dance Move

In a now-deleted TikTok video, Perry encouraged Irwin to rehearse a few dance moves ahead of his rumored appearance on Dancing With the Stars US. Wearing his classic zoo uniform, Irwin joined Perry in an awkward attempt at waltzing.

“I thought maybe we should do a practice round here at Australia Zoo,” Perry said, throwing her arm around Irwin before they began to dance.

When she asked for a “dip,” Irwin gently let her down to the floor instead. Laughing, Perry joked, “Maybe stick with the animals.”

Fans were quick to enjoy the fun, although the video was later removed from Perry’s TikTok page. Screenshots and short clips have continued to make the rounds online.

Rumors Swirl About Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry

While Perry’s tour has been a hit—playing sold-out shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth—her personal life has raised questions. Her fiancé Orlando Bloom was seen walking through Perth’s city center with their daughter on his shoulders just hours before Perry’s concert. However, Perry was not seen with them, sparking fresh rumors that the couple might be facing challenges.

Special Moment with Local Teen Rapper

Another heartwarming moment from Perry’s Perth shows came when she invited 16-year-old Archie Richards on stage. Dressed in a Menulog sandwich board outfit, Archie caught Perry’s eye and got the chance to rap beside her in front of thousands.

After the performance, Archie told PerthNow, “It didn’t feel real.” Fans on social media praised Perry for her kindness and willingness to spotlight local talent.

Final Tour Dates Approaching

Perry is set to wrap up her Australian tour with final shows on June 26, 27, and 29. After captivating fans with sky-high acrobatics and dazzling visuals, she continues to prove why she remains a top name in global pop.
