Fati Vazquez Defends Holiday with Lamine Yamal Amid Backlash and Rumors

Spanish football star Lamine Yamal, 17, and OnlyFans model Fati Vazquez, 29, have found themselves at the center of a media storm. Their recent vacation in Italy sparked online criticism and speculation about their relationship.

Photos published earlier this month showed the pair enjoying time together in Pantelleria, a small island in southern Sicily, after the UEFA Nations League final. Images of the two on a jet ski, by a pool, and flying in a helicopter raised eyebrows, especially because of their 12-year age gap.

While many assumed they were dating, Yamal quickly denied the rumors. He shared a photo from Brazil with Neymar, captioned, “Single and happy, this is Brazil!”

Now, Fati Vazquez has spoken out. In a TV interview, she said: “I do not have, and never had, any financial interest in Lamine. I’ve been independent since I was 18.”

She revealed she received death threats and was even called a “paedophile” online. Vazquez added she has worked in social media for over 10 years, long before Yamal became famous.

“I’ve built my own career. I don’t need fame from anyone else,” she said.

Fati also claimed she learned another girl had visited Yamal just before her. She said it surprised her and made her rethink the situation.

Despite being accused of chasing fame or wealth, Fati defended her name: “If Lamine weren’t famous, people say I wouldn’t notice him. But the same goes the other way. If I wasn’t well-known, maybe he wouldn’t notice me either.”

She ended her statement by thanking those who supported her and avoided judging without facts.

Meanwhile, Yamal also got dragged into another online debate. Spanish adult star Claudia Bavel, 29, claimed he tried to meet her. Yamal denied this, saying he wasn’t interested and couldn’t meet her because he lives with his mother. But Bavel hit back, saying he lives alone and was the one who insisted on meeting her.

“I’ve never had a relationship with a minor,” Bavel wrote on social media. “No plan was ever made for money or fame.”

Yamal previously dated TikTok star Alex Padilla, and their relationship became public after he helped Spain win Euro 2024.

Fati Vazquez ended her comments with a simple message to critics: “We are just two people who wanted to enjoy some time together. That’s all.”
