Marcus Monzo Found Guilty of Killing Daniel Anjorin in Hainault Samurai Sword Attack

Marcus Monzo will be sentenced on Friday
Marcus Monzo has been found guilty of murdering 14-year-old Daniel Anjorin in a shocking samurai sword attack that took place in Hainault last year. The verdict was delivered at the Old Bailey by a jury of eight women and four men.
Monzo was also found guilty of three counts of attempted murder, wounding with intent, and possession of an offensive weapon. He showed no emotion as the jury announced its decision.
He was, however, cleared of one count of attempted murder, but was found guilty of a lesser charge of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The brutal attacks unfolded in just 20 minutes, during which Monzo randomly targeted members of the public and even police officers.
Sentencing
Monzo is scheduled to be sentenced on Friday. The court is expected to deliver a lengthy prison term, possibly life imprisonment, given the severity of the crimes.
Background
The case drew national attention due to the young age of the victim, the weapon used, and the random nature of the attacks. Daniel Anjorin, a bright and beloved schoolboy, was killed while walking in his local area, sparking an outpouring of grief from the community.
Police and emergency services responded quickly, but the sudden and violent spree left multiple people injured and a community shaken.
Stay tuned for updates following the sentencing.
