How to file BISP payment complaints via WhatsApp, helpline, and portal

04 July, 2025 17:51

Many people receiving help from the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) often face problems like payment delays, money deductions, or even fraud. To make it easier for beneficiaries to report these issues, BISP has launched a WhatsApp complaint system. Here’s how you can use it.

The WhatsApp system is quick, free, and convenient. You don’t need to visit any office or pay agents. You can send a message, voice note, or text, and you will get a complaint reference number to track your issue.

To file a complaint via WhatsApp

  1. Save the official WhatsApp number for your region:

    • Punjab: 0325-5365520

    • Sindh: 0305-9171917

    • Balochistan: 0325-5365469

    • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa/AJK/GB: 0325-5365476

  2. Open WhatsApp and send a message with your:

    • Full name

    • 13-digit CNIC number

    • Type of complaint (e.g., payment deduction, delay, fraud)

    • Brief explanation (e.g., “Rs 200 deducted at retail shop”)

  3. Wait for a reply from the BISP control room. They will assign you a complaint reference number.

  4. Keep that number safe for follow-up.

You will usually get a response within 1 to 3 days.

If you can’t use WhatsApp, you can also file complaints in these ways:

  • Call the BISP Helpline (0800-26477) from 9 AM to 11 PM, Monday to Saturday. Share your CNIC and issue to get a reference number.

  • Visit a BISP Tehsil Office with your CNIC to register the complaint in person.

  • Use the Online Complaint Portal on the BISP website to submit details and supporting documents.

Common issues people report include

  • Payments not received despite being eligible.

  • Extra money deducted at payout centers (e.g., Rs 100–500).

  • Fraud or scam messages pretending to be from BISP.

  • Biometric or debit card problems.

Most complaints are resolved within 3 to 14 days, depending on the type of issue.

Tips to file complaints smoothly

  • Use only official WhatsApp numbers and helplines.

  • Always provide your CNIC and a clear description of your issue.

  • Save your complaint reference number for updates.

  • Follow up after 7 days if no action is taken.

  • Remember, BISP services are completely free—never pay agents or middlemen.

This new system makes it easier for BISP beneficiaries to protect their rights and recover their full payments safely.
