Pakistani Student Momin Usman Dies in Lake Drowning Incident in Frankfurt Amid Heatwave
Frankfurt, Germany – In a heartbreaking incident, Pakistani student Momin Usman lost his life after drowning in a lake in Frankfurt amid soaring temperatures in Europe. The young student, originally from Gujranwala, Pakistan, was trying to cool off from the extreme heat when tragedy struck.
Momin Usman was pursuing his master’s degree at the Technical University of Darmstadt. On Friday, he went swimming with friends in a nearby lake to escape the intense summer heat. However, while swimming, he suddenly disappeared from the sight of his friends, causing immediate concern.
Rescue teams, including divers, were called to the scene and launched a search operation. Unfortunately, Momin’s body was recovered from the lake and taken to a local hospital. The tragic news has deeply saddened his family and the Pakistani community in Germany.
Pakistani Consul General Shafaat Kaleem Khattak has contacted local authorities to expedite formalities for returning Momin’s body to Pakistan as soon as possible.
This sad event highlights the dangers posed by extreme weather conditions, especially to international students and residents seeking relief in natural water bodies.
