Who Is Sarah Grace Patrick? Georgia Teen Charged With Murder of Parents James and Kristin Brock

A 17-year-old girl named Sarah Grace Patrick has been arrested and charged in connection with the February 2025 shooting deaths of her mother and stepfather, Kristin and James Brock.

The shocking case has now taken a major turn after months of investigation.

Who Were the Victims?

The victims, Kristin Brock (41) and James Brock (45), were found shot to death in their bed on February 20, 2025, at their home in Carroll County.

The Brocks were known in their community for being kind and loving people. James had been waiting for a heart transplant, and Kristin was described by friends as bubbly, warm, and full of life.

Arrest and Charges

Sarah Grace Patrick turned herself in to the Carroll County Jail earlier this week. She is facing:

• 2 counts of murder

• 2 counts of aggravated assault

Because of the seriousness of the charges, Sarah is expected to be tried as an adult, even though she is still a teenager.

Ashley Hulsey, spokesperson for the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, said: “We don’t know what goes through the mind of a child who wants to harm their parents. She’s 17 and has been living with different relatives for a while.”

Ongoing Investigation

Authorities say the investigation is still open, and more arrests and charges may follow. The sheriff’s department is working closely with the FBI and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).

“Our team has gone through a huge amount of physical and digital evidence,” Hulsey added.

Kristin’s father, Dennis Nolan, previously offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. He told Atlanta News First in February: “You just can’t imagine someone taking the lives of two good people like that. It’s so horrendous.”

Community Reaction

The couple were active members of Catalyst Church. Fellow churchgoer Tasha Meza told local media: “Kristin was so fun and always gave hugs. She never met a stranger. James was hilarious and always made us laugh.”

The community is shocked and heartbroken, especially now that the arrest involves their own daughter.

Sarah Grace Patrick will face trial as an adult. Her court date has not yet been set publicly. She is currently in custody, and the legal process will move forward in the coming weeks.
