Monday, July 14, 2025 – San Rechal, a well-known model and beauty pageant winner, passed away at the age of 26. Her sudden death has deeply saddened many in the fashion and modeling world, especially in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
What Happened to San Rechal?
On Sunday, July 14, San Rechal visited her father’s home in Karmanikuppam, near Puducherry. There, she took a large number of blood pressure tablets. Her family quickly took her to a government hospital.
She was later moved to a private hospital and then to JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research). Sadly, she could not recover and was declared dead.
Why Was San Rechal in Stress?
Reports say that San Rechal was facing financial problems and personal struggles. She had sold some of her jewelry to raise money for her career. She also asked her father for help, but he couldn’t support her due to family responsibilities. These problems may have caused her emotional pain.

San Rechal’s Career in Modeling
San Rechal started modeling at a young age. In 2019, she won the Miss Dark Queen Tamil Nadu title. She later won the Queen of Madras crown and became Miss Puducherry in 2022.
She also took part in Miss India 2022. She was known for speaking out against unfair treatment and promoting self-confidence.
What Else Did She Do?
Besides modeling, Rechal became a modeling coach. She taught young girls how to walk, talk, and dress confidently. She also cared about animals. She ran a page to help rescue pet dogs and supported adoption.
Her brother Arun is a photographer, and the two worked together on photo projects.
