The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) is continuing its support for low-income families in 2025 with the launch of Phase 3 of the 8171 program in August. This phase brings new payments, more areas covered, and updated rules for eligibility.

What is BISP 8171 Phase 3?

BISP 8171 Phase 3 is the latest step in the government’s welfare program to help families in need. The August 2025 update includes:

• New payments of up to Rs. 13,500

• More districts added to the program

• Adjusted PMT (Poverty Means Test) scores to include more families

• Easy eligibility checks through the 8171 portal and SMS

Key Updates for August 2025

Payment Release Date

• Payments will start from August 20, 2025.

• Beneficiaries will receive SMS alerts from 8171 when their payments are ready.

More Areas Covered

• New districts in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh have been added.

• Urban areas with pending surveys may get included in batches.

Updated PMT Score

• Widows and disabled women are now eligible with PMT scores up to 35.

• General eligibility remains for families under 32 PMT.

1. By SMS:

• Send your 13-digit CNIC to 8171

• You will get a reply with your status

2. Online Portal:

• Go to the 8171 web portal

• Enter your CNIC and captcha

• Click “Check Eligibility” to see your result
