BISP July 2025: Registration and payment updates via 8171 portal

22 July, 2025 17:14

The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) is making it easier for thousands of people in Pakistan to register and receive payments. Now, you can even register through mobile vans as part of their latest campaign.

BISP has launched a nationwide registration drive to help financially vulnerable families. Mobile vans are being sent to different areas, especially remote villages, to make the process simple and accessible.

These vans are equipped with trained staff and digital tools to register people on the spot, saving them from long travel and paperwork. In rural areas, the vans are often parked at busy spots like local markets and schools.

To register, applicants only need to bring their original CNIC. The BISP team will collect basic information, verify identity using biometric tools, and enter the details into the National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER).

People who can register include:

  • Low-income families without a stable income

  • Households with disabled or chronically ill members

  • Marginalized groups, including transgender individuals

  • Pakistani citizens not already registered with BISP

Documents Needed for Registration:

  • Original CNIC

  • CNIC numbers of family members

  • Proof of address (if available)

  • Any other documents requested for verification

Once registered, BISP officials will review the data to check eligibility. Approved applicants will get an SMS notification with details about receiving payments and other benefits like education or health support. There’s no need to re-register unless asked.
