Who Is Lawal Wahab? Nigerian Teen Found Dead With Vital Organs Missing in Suspected Ritual Killing

A horrifying discovery has shocked Ogun State, Nigeria, as 16-year-old Lawal Wahab, earlier declared missing, was found dead with several vital organs removed—fueling suspicions of a ritual killing.

According to police reports on Saturday, July 26, 2025, Wahab had been living with his grandmother when his father, Lawal Olumide, reported him missing. His decomposing body was found on July 23 along the Old Express Road, Igbile-Ijebu.

Gruesome Details Reveal Ritualistic Motives

The Ogun State Police Command, through its spokesperson CSP Omolola Odutola, confirmed the tragic discovery. A preliminary examination revealed that Wahab’s head, both wrists, heart, and genitals had been removed—clear signs pointing to ritualistic activity.

Police swiftly acted on intelligence and arrested two male suspects—Salawu Omikansola (25) and Serefusi Agemo. Other suspects remain at large.

Police Investigation Underway

According to CSP Odutola, one of the suspects voluntarily confessed to the crime, and the confession was captured on video. The body of Lawal Wahab was buried in line with Islamic rites due to its condition.

The case file, along with exhibits, is being transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Eleweran, for deeper investigation. Authorities are still pursuing other accomplices involved in this horrific crime.

In a public statement, CSP Odutola condemned the killing:

“The Ogun State Police Command condemns this heinous act and assures the public that justice will be pursued to its logical conclusion. We urge citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police formation.”
