Who is Abhay Nayak? Man Shouts ‘I’ve Got a Bomb’ ‘Death to America’ Mid-Air in EasyJet Flight

A 41-year-old man from Luton, identified as Abhay Nayak, was arrested on Sunday after allegedly shouting bomb threats and political slogans during an EasyJet flight from London to Glasgow, prompting an emergency landing and a swift police response.

The flight, EZY609, had departed London Luton Airport early Sunday morning and was en route to Glasgow International Airport when Nayak reportedly emerged from the aircraft lavatory and began shouting, “I’ve got a bomb,” “Allahu Akbar,” “Death to America,” and “Death to Trump.” Witnesses say the man also referenced former US President Donald Trump—who was visiting Scotland at the time—claiming he wanted to “send a message.”

Fellow passengers and flight crew acted quickly to subdue Nayak, restraining him until the plane landed safely at Glasgow Airport around 8:20 a.m. local time. No injuries were reported, and a thorough search of the aircraft found no explosive devices on board.

Upon landing, Nayak was arrested by Police Scotland and taken into custody. Authorities confirmed that counter-terrorism officers reviewed the incident, but no terrorism-related charges have been filed at this stage.
