BISP Biometric Re-Verification August 2025 – Full Guide

The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) helps poor families in Pakistan by giving them monthly financial support. To make sure the right people are getting this help, the government is doing biometric re-verification in August 2025.

What is Biometric Re-Verification?

This is a process where your thumb or fingerprint is scanned to confirm your identity using NADRA’s system. It makes sure that the person receiving BISP money is really the one who applied.

The government is running a nationwide campaign in August because:

• Some people’s information is outdated

• CNICs may be expired or blocked

• Family changes like births, deaths, or marriage

Who Needs to Re-Verify?

You must do biometric verification if:

• You got an SMS from 8171 asking for re-verification

• Your payments are on hold

• You recently updated your household info (NSER)

• You were marked ineligible before but now qualify

• Start: 1st August 2025

• End: 31st August 2025

Step-by-Step: How to Verify

Step 1: Check Status

• Send your 13-digit CNIC to 8171

• Wait for reply:

  • “Eligible – visit center”

  • “Not eligible – update NSER”

  • “Already verified”

Step 2: Visit Center

• Go to the nearest BISP or NADRA center

• Take your original CNIC

• Timings: 9 AM to 4 PM (Mon–Sat)

Step 3: Biometric Scan

• Give CNIC at the counter

• Scan your thumb/fingerprint

• NADRA system will match your identity

Step 4: Confirmation

• You will get a confirmation slip or SMS from 8171

• Your BISP record will be updated

Documents to Take

• Original CNIC

• B-Form (for children)

• Old BISP slips (if any)

• Marriage/divorce certificate (if needed)

• Death certificate (if any family member passed away)

Tip: Keep photocopies ready just in case.

After Verification

Once verified:

• Your payments will resume

• You might get pending payments (e.g., Rs. 27,000)

• Your data will be updated in BISP & Ehsaas records

• You’ll get SMS from 8171 when money is ready
