BISP Child Stipends August 2025: When is next payment?

07 August, 2025 21:54

Millions of low-income families in Pakistan depend on the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) to meet basic needs. One important part of this program is the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif, which gives stipends to children for their education.

What Are BISP Child Stipends?

These are cash payments given every three months to help poor families send their children to school. The main goals are to:

  • Increase school attendance

  • Reduce child labour

  • Support girls’ education

  • Ease the financial burden on poor families

When Will Payments Be Given?

The next payment cycle will begin from 15 August 2025, covering the April to June period. Some families will get SMS notifications, while others should check their status manually.

How Are Payments Given?

  • At camp sites in cities and villages

  • Through registered mobile agents or retailers

  • Some families receive money directly in linked bank accounts

Who Is Eligible?

Parents must:

  • Be active BISP Kafalat recipients

  • Have a valid CNIC

  • Be listed in the Dynamic Survey records

Children must:

  • Be aged 4 to 22

  • Be enrolled in school or college

  • Have at least 70% attendance

Required Documents

  • Child’s B-form

  • Parent’s CNIC

  • School ID, admission slip, or attendance proof (if needed)

Stipend Amounts

Class Level Boys Girls
Primary (KG–5) Rs. 1,500 Rs. 2,000
Middle & Matric (6–10) Rs. 2,500 Rs. 3,000
Intermediate (11–12) Rs. 3,500 Rs. 4,000

How to Check Your Stipend

1. SMS 8171:

  • Send your CNIC (without dashes) to 8171

  • Wait for a reply with your status

2. Visit a BISP Office:

  • Bring your CNIC, child’s B-form, and school documents

3. Through Mobile Wallet or Bank Account:

  • Some get money in their account or through a mobile agent

Common Issues

You may not receive the stipend if:

  • Attendance is below 70%

  • B-form was not submitted

  • Parent’s BISP status is under review

  • Fingerprint mismatch at agent/camp

  • Delays in processing

If this happens, visit your nearest BISP office and ask for help or re-verification.

What’s New in 2025?

To improve the system, the government added:

  • Digital attendance tracking

  • Real-time NADRA verification

  • Priority for orphans and children of widows

  • An updated Dynamic Survey to include more deserving families

Why It Matters

These stipends help children stay in school, reduce child labour, and support poor families, especially in rural areas. They are more than money — they’re an investment in Pakistan’s future.
