MUA Tricia Corona Claims She Was the Fan Involved in Zayn Malik’s Alleged 2012 Cheating Scandal

An American makeup artist named Tricia Corona has come forward with a claim that she was the fan involved in one of Zayn Malik’s alleged cheating scandals during his relationship with Perrie Edwards.

Back in 2012, a viral audio clip circulated among One Direction fans, capturing a man—allegedly Zayn—inviting a group of women to his hotel room. The clip drew widespread speculation as fans believed the Northern accent belonged to the Bradford-born singer. The man in the recording referenced a friend named Harry wanting “booty” and instructed the woman to tell hotel staff she was named Crystabel Riley, the name of One Direction’s then-makeup artist.

Though Zayn faced multiple accusations of infidelity during his relationship with Perrie Edwards, he never publicly addressed this particular incident.

Now, 13 years later, Tricia Corona has taken to TikTok to share her version of events, claiming she was the woman on the phone in the leaked audio.

Describing her encounter with Zayn at a One Direction fan event held at a Walmart, Tricia said: “We’re standing in line and Zayn’s making eyes at me.”

Encouraged by her friends, she decided to give him her number: “Like the hoochie that I am—or that I was I should say because I’m a happily married woman now—I wrote my number down and I stuck it right in my bra.”

According to Tricia, when she reached the front of the line, Zayn commented on her appearance: “I like your jubblies [breasts].” She added, “I pulled my number right out of my dress, slid it across the table and said ‘if you wanna hang out later – call me.’ I saw him say to Harry [Styles] ‘put it in your pocket’, so that was the meet and greet.”

Later, as she and her friends were driving home, Tricia claimed she received a call from a British number. “I answer and you can hear all of them yelling and giggling and talking,” she recalled. “I say hello and they don’t say anything and hang up.” She said this happened repeatedly, calling it an “absurd amount of times.”

Eventually, she said she received a call from Zayn at midnight, inviting her to join him at his hotel in Philadelphia. She agreed, and she and her friends made the 1.5-hour drive.

“He’s calling me every two minutes ‘where are you? How far away are you? You have to be quicker – you have to get here fast because we do have to leave,'” she claimed.

By the time they arrived, Tricia said Zayn told her they had already left for New York City and asked her to meet him there instead.

She also claimed Louis Tomlinson contacted her, saying: “Don’t shoot the messenger, our tour manager has put his foot down and he says no girls back to the hotel tonight.”

Still determined to see them, Tricia said she texted Zayn: “If you want to rebel against your babysitter tonight, let me know and we’ll still come,” to which he allegedly replied, “f**k the babysitter, come anyway.”

According to her account, she and her friends drove to New York and arrived at around 2:30 a.m. Zayn then instructed her to tell hotel staff that she was their makeup artist and to come up to his room.

Tricia explained why she chose not to speak out back then: “It was not funny at the time. Also he [Zayn] had his own stuff going on. And yes he is a celebrity and all that but he is still very much a person and I didn’t want to throw him under the bus like that.”

When asked what happened once she arrived at the hotel room, Tricia left it open-ended: “So you can use your imagination I guess about what happened when I got up there. That’s the story of Crystabel Riley.”

In a follow-up TikTok video, she addressed the leaked audio clip but said she didn’t know who was responsible for releasing it: “I have an inkling… who fu**ing cares at this point.”
