Karachi Burglary: Thieves Steal Valuables, Leave Bizarre Cartoon-Like Drawings

In Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Hadeed Phase 2, a burglary took an unusual turn when thieves not only looted valuables but also left behind strange cartoon-like sketches on the walls and furniture of the house.

According to police, the burglars even drew designs on the dressing table mirror in a “film-style manner” and marked red signs on the pictures of children and women.

The incident sparked fear and anxiety among the affected family. The thieves escaped with clothes worth lakhs of rupees, artificial jewelry, mobile phones, and a smartwatch.

Following the complaint, an FIR was registered at the Steel Town Police Station. Police inspected the scene, particularly focusing on the odd “signatures” the culprits left behind. Forensic teams have completed their examination, and the report will soon be handed over to investigators.

The homeowner, Shehryar Ali, told V News that most of the stolen items had been part of his wife’s dowry and were stored on the third floor of the house. He added that while he does not suspect anyone in particular, the burglars specifically targeted the third floor before fleeing, leaving behind unusual sketches resembling cartoons or children’s drawings.

Police have confirmed that the investigation is underway to trace the culprits behind this peculiar burglary.
