Who is Hafiz Mohibullah? Man Arrested in Karachi After Video of Harassment Goes Viral

KARACHI: Police in Karachi’s District East have arrested a suspect, identified as Hafiz Mohibullah, after a video went viral on social media showing him misbehaving with a passing woman during rain in the Jamshed Town area.

According to the spokesperson of the SSP East Police, the video, recorded a few days earlier, showed the suspect engaging in inappropriate behavior with a woman. Following the video’s circulation online, police launched a search operation to track down the individual.

The spokesperson confirmed that the suspect was identified through the footage and subsequently arrested in an operation carried out by East Police.

He has been identified as Hafiz Mohibullah, son of Shamsul Haq. A case has been registered against him at Jamshed Quarters Police Station on a government complaint.

The FIR includes the section related to rape of a woman, and police have added him to the investigation. The suspect will be presented in court following due process.
