BISP starts August 2025 payments of Rs14,500 – check detail

BISP announces new rules for smooth payment from September 25
The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has announced that the August 2025 installment will be given to deserving women and families across Pakistan. According to reports, each eligible recipient will receive Rs. 14,500.
Easy Eligibility Check
To make the process simple, the government has introduced an easy way to check eligibility. Anyone can send their CNIC number (without dashes) via SMS to 8171 and instantly get details about their status and payments.
Biometric Verification Required
The payments are being released in phases. Beneficiaries are advised to complete biometric verification to avoid any delays. Officials have also made it clear that only those who complete this step will be able to receive all three pending installments smoothly.
Reasons for Ineligibility
Some applicants may find themselves marked as ineligible. The common reasons include:
Incorrect CNIC details
Income above the program’s limit
Incomplete biometric verification
Outdated registration information
Duplicate applications
Such individuals are encouraged to recheck their status through 8171 or visit the nearest BISP office for help.
New Partnership for Women’s Empowerment
Apart from financial support, BISP is also focusing on empowering women. Recently, BISP signed an MoU with Greenstar Social Marketing Pakistan (GSM). This partnership will provide beneficiaries with:
Entrepreneurship training
Skill development programs
Seed money to start small businesses
Under the BISP Hunarmand Program, special focus will be given to maternal and child healthcare. The aim is not only to support families financially but also to create sustainable income opportunities for women.
Conclusion
The government’s efforts show a clear commitment to helping low-income households by providing regular cash support and also guiding women toward financial independence. With these steps, BISP hopes to reduce poverty and improve the lives of deserving families across Pakistan.
