Who is Giorgia Meloni? Fake Pornographic Images of Her Spark Outrage!

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has strongly condemned the circulation of fake pornographic images featuring herself and several prominent women of the country, calling it a “regrettable act.”

According to CNN, the edited images, accompanied by degrading and sexual comments, were uploaded to a pornographic website named Phica, a platform whose title derives from a sexual slang word in Italian. The manipulated visuals included not only Meloni but also her sister Arianna Meloni, a senior leader of the ruling Brothers of Italy party, along with other politicians and celebrities.

The scandal triggered widespread outrage, eventually forcing the shutdown of the platform. The site’s administrators, however, claimed that the images had been uploaded by millions of users in violation of rules, denying any direct involvement. Reports indicate that users collected photos of women from social media and other public sources, altered them, and then republished them with misogynistic captions.

Speaking to an Italian newspaper, Giorgia Meloni expressed deep anger over the incident, stating, “All my sympathy and support are with those women whom the administrators and users of this forum defamed, insulted, and dishonored.”

She further emphasized, “It is regrettable that even in 2025 there still exist people who consider it normal and permissible to crush a woman’s dignity and hurl sexual and filthy words at her.”

The incident has reignited debates in Italy over online abuse, deepfakes, and the urgent need for stronger digital safety laws to protect women from cyber harassment.
