Simon Levy charged with murder of Sheryl Wilkins in north London

A 40-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a woman in north London.

Police said Simon Levy, from Beaufoy Road in Tottenham, is accused of killing 39-year-old Sheryl Wilkins, who was found dead on High Road, Tottenham, on August 24.

Along with the murder charge, Levy also faces serious offences, including:

• Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent

• Intentional strangulation

• Two counts of rape

The charges are connected to Sheryl Wilkins and another woman, who cannot be named at this stage because of the sensitive nature of the case.

Levy is due to appear in Highbury Magistrates’ Court today.
