CCTV Captures Charlie Kirk Shooter Escaping Rooftop After Fatal Attack

Chilling CCTV footage has been released, showing the sniper who shot and killed conservative activist Charlie Kirk fleeing across the rooftop of Utah Valley University’s Lossee Center before leaping down and disappearing into the crowd.

The video, made public by the FBI, captures the suspect—described as a male who “appears to be of college age”—moving quickly across the rooftop before lowering himself over the edge and vanishing into nearby woods. Investigators later discovered a high-powered bolt action rifle, believed to be the murder weapon, in the same area.

FBI agent Robert Bohls confirmed: “I can tell you that we have recovered what we believe is the weapon that was used in yesterday’s shooting… is a high-powered bolt action rifle. That rifle was recovered in a wooded area where the shooter had fled. The FBI laboratory will be analysing this weapon.”

Authorities say the suspect, last seen wearing a black cap, sunglasses, and a shirt featuring the American flag and eagle, left behind a palm print, shoe impression, and forearm markings. Despite these leads, officials admit they still “have no idea” who he is.

The FBI has released images of a “person of interest” and announced a $100,000 reward for information. Utah Governor Spencer Cox revealed more than 7,000 tips have already poured in, with over 200 interviews conducted.

Charlie Kirk, 31, co-founder of Turning Point USA and a leading voice of the MAGA movement, was shot while addressing students. He died shortly after at the hospital. Tributes have poured in, led by former President Donald Trump, who described Kirk as “a giant of his generation, a champion of liberty and an inspiration to millions.” Trump also revealed that Kirk’s wife, Erika, is “absolutely devastated.”

Kirk’s body has been flown to Arizona on Air Force Two, accompanied by Vice President JD Vance. A funeral date has yet to be announced.
